In this episode we finish up the second book of the Bible.
This week we’ll read Exodus 20-40 together. This is where God gives Moses the 10 Commandments (the first writings to be included in the library we call the Bible). God will eventually give many more laws – we’ll see 613 of them by the time the Old Testament is done – but it all starts here.
We’ll also see
- God reconfirming his covenant with his people
- Detailed instructions about how to build the tabernacle (the tent where God will meet them)
- The ark of the covenant (yes, that ark!)
This is one of the most important, pivotal passages of the entire Bible.
The Bible Reading Coach podcast is designed to help anyone read through the Bible in a year. In 10-15 minutes each Friday, I’ll introduce you to the passage for the following week, including:
- What it’s about
- How to deal with challenging passages
- How the original readers saw it
- How it applies today
- And much more
After listening, take the next week to read the passage on your own. This time you’ll have a clearer understanding of it.
