Bible Reading Coach, Week 39 (Joel – Nahum) Six Prophets and One Giant Fish

Jonah, we know. But Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Micah & Nahum? Not so much. Let's take a closer look. You'll be glad we did.

This week we’ll read more books than we have in any previous week – six in all. Aside from the story of Jonah, the other books are far less well known, but they have a lot to teach us.

They jump back-and-forth in the timeline, so this teaching will help you with that. But what we’ll also see is the variety of sins – and the types of sins God condemns. While we tend to concentrate on certain sins while ignoring others, God pays attention to all of them – but he also offers a way to repent and find his mercy again.

The Bible Reading Coach podcast is designed to help anyone read through the Bible in a year. In 10-15 minutes each Friday, I’ll introduce you to the passage for the following week, including:

  • What it’s about
  • How to deal with challenging passages
  • How the original readers saw it
  • How it applies today
  • And much more

After listening, take the next week to read the passage on your own. This time you’ll have a clearer understanding of it.
