Can A Small Church Also Be A Great Church? (Podcast)

shadow flyerWhat does a great Small Church look like?

Since launching, that’s been the question I’ve been asked more than any other.

Isn’t that strange? 90% of the churches in the world are under 200, but we don’t know how to do Small Church well?

Size has nothing to do with greatness. Especially in the kingdom of God.

Too many of us have been told – or have told ourselves – that a Small Church cannot be a great church. So how can a church be great if the pastor and leadership don’t even believe that is possible?

In this podcast, with Jeff and Jonny from, we talk about the content of my post, It’s Time For Small Churches To Become Great Churches.

In it, we chat about some important principles, like

  • How the church must do better at helping hurting people
  • Small Churches are not just small versions of big churches
  • Keeping true to your church’s unique voice
  • Narrowing your focus
  • The value of pastoral longevity
  • and more

Can A Small Church Also Be A Great Church? (Podcast)

In today’s podcast we talk about the values unique to being in a Small Church, including the all-important step of changing our view about the value of small things. In other words, if your church is small, that’s OK. And it can be great if we decide to do one thing. Do Small Awesome! Yes, it’s not just possible, it’s a great thing, when we discover it. (Episode 85 – 36:55 total run time)

So what do you think? Is your Small Church a great church? If not, what can you do to get it there?

We want to hear from you. Yes, you! Enter your comment right below this post and get in on the conversation.
