Which it doesn’t for over 90 percent of pastors and churches, no matter how much they want it, or how hard they work, pray, and follow all the church growth advice they can find.

So I’ve written a starter list for church growth proponents and denominational officials. When it comes to helping small church pastors, please consider these six principles:

  1. How wonderful to see an article about the worth of small churches. My husband pastored some small churches that no one wanted to take, and they did grow but only one was a little over 100. We loved the churches and the people. They were like our family. Small churches have a part in God’s Plan I do believe. Small towns have small churches. It isn’t fair to look down on them. They can be wonderful places to serve. My husband retired due to M.S. problems or he would have continued on. We so miss small church life. God bless the men and wives who take them.
