Bible Reading Coach, Week 11 (Joshua) Conquering the Land

This exciting book covers some of the Bible's most well-known stories, plus some great principles that deserve a second look.

In this introduction to Joshua (the sixth book of the Bible), we’ll see a significant change of pace. The Hebrews have stopped wandering in the desert and now they start conquering the Promised Land.

Joshua also includes one of the most well-known Bible stories – the fall of the walls of Jericho.

And there are also a couple mind-bending miracles. The Jordan River dries up for them to walk across (sound familiar?) and the sun stops in the sky for a while (yes, really!).

The Bible Reading Coach podcast is designed to help anyone read through the Bible in a year. In 10-15 minutes each Friday, I’ll introduce you to the passage for the following week, including:

  • What it’s about
  • How to deal with challenging passages
  • How the original readers saw it
  • How it applies today
  • And much more

After listening, take the next week to read the passage on your own. This time you’ll have a clearer understanding of it.
